On the morning of September 7, Geolight (Beijing Geolight Technology Co., Ltd.) and the Institute of Disaster Prevention renewed their cooperation agreement on collaborative talent cultivation. Zhuang Cantao, Chairman of Geolight, and Xue Bing, Chief Engineer of the company, attended the signing ceremony alongside Yao Yunsheng, Party Secretary of the Institute of Disaster Prevention, and Hong Li, Vice President of the institute. Also present were Liu Qingjie, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Cai Jianxian and Yao Zhenjing, Deputy Deans of the School of Electronic Control; relevant department heads and enterprise internship tutors from Geolight; as well as faculty and student interns from the School of Electronic Control. Dr. Zhang Suling from the Marketing & Service Department presided over the event.

During the signing ceremony, Chairman Zhuang Cantao reviewed the company’s development history and operation overview, and summarized the fruitful achievements of university-enterprise collaborative education over the years. He stated that Geolight is dedicated to the R&D, promotion and application of seismic instruments with a consistent pursuit of higher precision standards. The company looks forward to launching a series of in-depth cooperation initiatives with the university and achieving new milestones in their partnership.
Yao Yunsheng, Party Secretary of the Institute of Disaster Prevention, gave an introduction to the university. He expressed gratitude to Geolight for its strong support to student internships and practical teaching, and fully affirmed the phased progress achieved through joint talent cultivation. He encouraged student interns to not only acquire professional knowledge and technical skills during their internships, but also absorb the corporate culture and innovative spirit of Geolight, integrating textbook theories with industrial production and scientific research practices.
Subsequently, Vice President Hong Li and Chairman Zhuang Cantao signed the Renewed Cooperation Agreement on Collaborative Talent Cultivation between the Institute of Disaster Prevention and Geolight on behalf of the university and enterprise respectively.

After the signing, Chairman Zhuang led Secretary Yao and the university delegation on a tour of the company’s seismic instrument R&D laboratory, vibration testing laboratory, assembly workshop and other facilities, accompanied by relevant department managers of Geolight.
