Professor Andrey Goev, Head of Laboratory of the Sadovsky Institute of Geosphere Dynamics, Russian Academy of Sciences, paid two visits to Geolight between July 17 and 25. Mr. Zhuang, Chairman of Geolight, Zhou Yinxing, Deputy General Manager, and Ding Zhefan, Engineer of the Marketing Department, received the guest. The two sides held in-depth discussions on broadband seismic observation instruments and technologies, AI-enabled earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in connection with the recently concluded 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference held in Shanghai, as well as seismic station and network construction and cross-border after-sales services.

Zhou Yinxing, Deputy General Manager of Geolight, extended a warm welcome to Professor Andrey Goev and introduced the company’s new-generation broadband seismic monitoring equipment and systems. Both sides reviewed their long-term friendly cooperation, either directly or indirectly via REFTEK (USA). As a leading domestic manufacturer of seismic instruments and equipment, Geolight boasts a full-spectrum product portfolio covering surface, shallow-well, deep-well and marine applications, together with steadily expanding global field experience, enabling the company to fully understand the seismic monitoring instrument requirements of different countries and regions. Professor Andrey Goev expressed gratitude for the continuous after-sales support provided for the seismographs exported to Russia by our company back in 2008.

After touring Geodevice’s product lines, Professor Andrey Goev gained full confidence that the self-developed GL-WS series ultra-low-noise broadband (ultra-broadband) seismometers, GL-CS series low-noise broadband seismometers, GL-MS series miniature low-noise high-sensitivity broadband seismometers, as well as low-noise wide-dynamic-range EDAS-24HR/27HR ultra-high-precision data acquisition units can serve as alternatives and supplements to the existing observation equipment in Russian laboratories. This visit aimed to expand equipment renewal options and product supply channels for Russia’s seismic monitoring sector, with expectations of further deepening strategic cooperation between the two parties. Geolight will continue to develop both domestic and international markets and accelerate its strategic layout across Europe and Asia. Relying on independently developed advanced seismic observation instruments and complete systems, the company will actively contribute to global earthquake prevention and disaster reduction and demonstrate Geolight’s capabilities worldwide.
