On the afternoon of July 30, Professor Ilhom Almukhamedov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Seismology, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited Beijing Geolight. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including AI-enabled earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, construction of urban seismic resilience, broadband seismic observation instruments and technologies, cross-border seismic network construction and equipment export.
Zhou Yinxing, Deputy General Manager of the company, extended a warm welcome to Professor Ilhom Almukhamedov and introduced Beijing Geolight’s new-generation full-series broadband seismic monitoring equipment and systems. Both sides reviewed the long-term friendly cooperation of more than 20 years dating back to 2003, when Beijing Geolight’s team completed the Uzbekistan National Seismic Network Project aided by the China Earthquake Administration.

After touring Beijing Geolight’s seismic instrument product line, Professor Ilhom Almukhamedov spoke highly of the company’s self-developed products: WS series ultra-low-noise broadband (ultra-broadband) seismometers, CS series low-noise broadband seismometers, MS series miniature high-sensitivity broadband seismometers, and EDAS series ultra-high-precision data acquisition units with low noise and wide dynamic range. This visit is intended to expand equipment upgrading channels for Uzbekistan’s seismic monitoring sector, and the professor looks forward to continuously deepening bilateral strategic cooperation. Beijing Geolight will coordinate domestic and international markets, expand its global business footprint, and steadily advance its strategic layout in Central Asia.
