The 40th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission (ESC2026) was held in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 6 to 11. Bringing together public service agencies, local governments, universities, research institutes, engineering enterprises and seismic instrument manufacturers from more than 60 countries worldwide, the conference attracted over 750 scientists and management representatives. Participants conducted academic discussions and technical exchanges on seismological research, seismic observation technologies, seismic hazard assessment, resilient city development, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, among other topics. As the only Chinese mainland seismic instrument manufacturer exhibiting at the event, Geolight made a remarkable appearance and engaged in technical dialogues with global peers to advance the global cause of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.
Geolight showcased its core seismic monitoring equipment systems and solutions under three product series: WS, CS and MS. At the exhibition booth, company representatives held face-to-face communications with research institutes, seismic agencies and engineering service providers across the globe. In-depth discussions covered seismic instrument R&D, seismic observation technologies, seismic network construction schemes and various disaster application scenarios. The team demonstrated the technical capabilities and domestic & overseas application cases of our self-developed seismic monitoring instruments to international counterparts, fully illustrating the innovative R&D strength and application performance of Geolight’s seismic technology products. The display drew extensive attention from experts of multiple countries and generated several potential cooperation intentions.
Participation in this international seismology conference and technical exchanges with global peers help the company further understand the practical business needs of overseas users, while sharing Geolight’s practical experience in seismic monitoring with worldwide counterparts. This conference also serves as a testament to Geolight’s commitment to independent technological innovation, continuous exploration of overseas markets, and active international academic exchanges and collaborations. International peers have highly recognized and praised the advances of our seismic observation technologies and instrument equipment.
